What a remote session can and cannot do
A video call cannot replace a dimensional measurement on a CMM. It can show you the machine that is supposed to be running your order, the stock of raw material, the condition of the die and the expression of the quality manager when you ask about the third shipment.
Used well, it shortens decisions from weeks to hours: approve a rework, stop a shipment, accept a sample.

Fibre connectivity at the plant where available, multi-site video conferencing, a helmet camera for hands-free close-ups, and drones with 4K stabilised video for areas that are difficult or unsafe to reach.
Sessions are run by our team in Ningbo, with Italian coordination for the language and the technical reading of what appears on screen.
When we still recommend travelling
First article of a complex part, a new supplier with a significant order, a negotiation that decides the price of the programme: these deserve a person in the room. Remote is a tool to reduce the number of trips, not to eliminate presence.

Questions about remote inspections
Is the connection reliable?
In most industrial areas of Zhejiang and Jiangsu, yes. Where the plant connection is weak we use a mobile router or record the session and review it with you the same day.
Can you translate during the session?
Yes, Italian, English and Chinese, with the engineer on site and a coordinator online.
Do you record the sessions?
On request, and with the supplier's agreement. The recording is shared with you and stored for the duration of the project.
Can a drone fly inside a plant?
Rarely: indoor flights need authorisation and space. Drones are used outdoors — roofs, yards, silos, large equipment — and indoors we use the helmet camera.
How is it priced?
As a session fee plus travel time for the engineer, quoted before booking. Cheaper than a flight, more expensive than a phone call.
